Mark, you just saved my life - sort of. Just bought a L-358 and was too lazy to figure this out by reading the manual. NOW, I am all set up for a shoot on the 28th. A BIG THANK YOU! Now I am using 1/3 stop correctly!

Mark, I would like to suggest and outdoor portrait session with this specific model using only the sun a camera and one flash. I believe great shots would come from it.

interesting video Mark. I'm currious though. You set the camera to the f-stop that the flash metered at. i usually do the reverse. i will adjust the power of the light to the f-stop on the camera. is there an advantage to the way you did it in the video?

Your camera will work with just about any lens. Set it to "A" and rotate the dial. Your f-stop will appear on the screen. If you set it to "M" you can change the f-stop and shutter speed at the same time by using the dials.

It's a previous reading... or memory function.... most probably an ambient reading. You can use this to figure what the ratios are between individual lights or strobes.

is there a setting like yours?

How about actually calibrating the light meter with the grey card to add compensation in the meter itself as well? Isn't that important that neutral is rendered down the middle with your specific camera?

How to set switch on 1/3 or 1/2 stop which you have mentioned in the video in L-858-D. Since it does not have the button on the back of the lightmeter

My Work Flow is usually i pick a certain F-stop i want, put the lights in locations, meter the light, then adjust up or down till the meter reading matches my f-stop). My thinking is, if i adjust the f-stop to match the light's power, then i might not get the D0F i want.

Hi
What is the F1.4 stop mark showed on the analog scale along with the F10, as far as i understand it is not the ambient light as you are100% flash?
