Why didn’t you just drain out some of the oil before starting to cook

Its a fantastic pan but it does take getting used to cooking with stainless steel. I usually use very low heat and has never had eggs stick. Also I wouldn't be using the plastic cover as a lid. It may deform and may not seal .

Stanley needs to just go ahead and put a non-stick coating on their otherwise excellent fry pan.
