They’re not really trivets you can use them as trivets, but they’re to protect your hands to pick up large pot or any of the other pots of the handles get hot. It’s really what they’re for.

Most STANLEY products are designed to be used over a fire or directly on the side of the fire or coals. Unless they've changed that about their cookware sets I did want to mention that. Also, the pots and skillet can easily handle hot oils. Many fish fry-ups had seen that 😋 👌. The larger pot lid has a special second indentation for use as a lid for the skillet too, another awesome feature 👏. Again, a great piece of kit.

Stanley adventure cook sets are made to use on the coals of the fire. Not sure why you would think otherwise. Thats the nice thing about the thick bases. Even heat.

Will it cook popcorn?. That will be the proof of real even heat. The originals steel pots you can't. It burns the cereals.
