I'm Finally Leaving Davao (Starting Something New)

IT'S TAKEN ME A LONG TIME TO GET MOVING THIS YEAR.

But now I am on the road!

A mixture of all sorts of stuff that's happened in the last week of my life - from food in Davao (there's way too much of that!) then flying up to Tacloban.... I'm staying at a friend's calamansi farm, but after my old plans fell through, I decided to head to Samar instead - first to Saob Cave in Basey, where weavers have been doing their craft for over 100 years, and then to the river beside it, which the owner of Layao Resort in neighbouring Marabut (literally the other side of the bridge!) is opening up to tourism. The rocky landscapes are truly special - different to other rivers in Samar, but magical all the same.
