Very very good instruction but please it's very important you must check your mirrors and traffic FIRST and make of the other checks your turn signal comes almost last.
you must know that there is a safe place for you to change lanes into before you ever indicate that you're going to turn.
you do not ever use your turn signal to ask for permission.
you do not ever turn on your turn signal in hopes of being able to change lanes or because you "need" to
you only activate your turn indicator after you know it's safe and you know "where" you're going to go in traffic first.
then after knowing where you're going to go only then do you turn on your turn signal.
It is not the first step.
