I've been using FP for years but never thought it could do this. I followed the video and setup the island to be in KM Units in Max to the real size of around 37x22km. @Assou Abdul asked about machine specs and there was no answer. My machine was sluggish but it was able to render 19million trees before it was just too slow. I have a Ryzen 9 3950X and 128GB Ram. The Max file with FP used only 40GB. I was surprised at that as well. I expected to see the RAM just run to the ceiling and crash me. But, it worked. Nice!

40 trillion polygons.. insane!. I remember back in the day when rendering even couple of trees was close to impossible with dos version of 3D studio.

First of all, love the idea of this showcase! Secondly, it’s truly amazing what forest pack achieves with it’s data optimisation. I do think you guys could have put a little bit more effort into the video though. Right now, it was just “here’s moss”, “here’s a few trees”.
