Funny that in the times we live in, Campbell’s is seen as a luxury and many people now buy the cheap store-brands instead.

The part about solar panels that no one ever tell s you is the start up costs are very high.
You have to have the panels themselves, and the number varies with your needs.
Then, depending on the amount of sun a region receives, you have to have enough panels to pull in enough energy to fill a battery pack that's big enough to sustain you through the darker parts of the year. Then you have to have a converter to convert the power into usable electricity....Plus all the wiring to get the solar from the panels to the batteries...then you have to replace the batteries just like for a vehicle...which is also true for an electric vehicle.
And the battery for an electric vehicle is used much more than the one for a gas powered vehicle.

It's all very involved, not really difficult, but it's so much more than just some solar panels on your roof. I'm not trying to dissuade anyone, but the whole truth is never talked about when they are promoting green energy. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH INSTEAD OF JUST BELIEVING THE SELLER OF A PRODUCT.

These are just all the things that a good consumer would research before buying.

I can see solar panels being sold en masse if something happened to other energy sources during a great depression, but nothing more than one big enough to power a fridge for the upfront cost would be too much for a penny pinching family. Energy will be a good thriving industry in rough times but which form depends on the market at the time.
