Rising cost of living sparks nationwide protests by NLC

Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC on Tuesday morning protested nationwide over the biting economic hardship in the country.

The Labour Congress and The federal government authorities had met earlier on Monday in a late push to stop the protest, but the meeting ended with no agreement reached between the parties as early as 7 a.m. On Tuesday morning, protesters started gathering in different parts of the country, bearing placards with different inscriptions. GuardianTV joined the protest to bring you how it went.

This NLC protest is very weak. The turnout is so poor, compared to 200 million Nigerians suffering hunger and poverty. We expect NLC to fail Nigerians again, as they did under Buhari.
