No-deal Brexit now a strong possibility, says Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson has said there is a 'strong possibility' the UK will fail to broker a trade deal with the EU, as he urged the public to prepare for the end of the Brexit transition period. The prime minister made the statement as talks remained deadlocked after a personal meeting with the European commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, on Wednesday night. Johnson said the 'deal on the table is really not at the moment right', saying it would leave the UK vulnerable to sanctions or tariffs if it did not follow the bloc’s new laws

my my..handbags and haircuts as a metaphor to decribe a vast and intricate trade deal between two trading blocs. how british politics has been degraded over the years. how this man can be the elected leader of a nation of 60 million people poses many uncomfortable questions..

Boris Johnson 2017: “There is no plan for no deal, because we’re going to get a great deal”

It’s telling how Bojo is reduced to using an ill-fitting analogy to try to masque the truth around the level playing field. Tell it straight Bojo, the EU won’t grant access to their Single Market if you refuse to participate within the same rules & regulations as the other 27. I thought we established that the ‘cake & eat it’ option was dismissed at the outset.

Buckle up ‘Britain’, only 3 weeks until reality starts to dawn in those sunlit uplands.

British ports are already clogged, and industries are shutting down. No deal means a year of such a catastrophe. Just send him a pen and he'll sign on Sunday!

The holy trinity of waffling.

Looks like they left that oven-ready Brexit deal in for too long.

"in the last weeks the EU brought back the idea of equivalence"

You mean like they have been saying for 4 years now? Yeah, how dare they say the same thing for ?

He looks nervous for having to break this news and not knowing how. Grappling for justification, trying to convince others that disaster is not so bad while he himself knows it is.

Great news let's all celebrate
More red tape, delays at ports
Some type of foods shortages, more expensive food shopping,
Expensive private holiday insurance,
Shortage of drugs and medicines,
Expense for international driving licence permit,
Roaming charges while abroad,
Not allowed to work or live in a EU country
Expensive and complicated regarding pet holidays ...
I drink to that 🤣

The man is a born liar. Everything points to him making a deal. The bigger the problem, the more political glory he wins. There will be a fudge and a deal on Sunday.

He's constantly trying to avoid a smirk and avoiding eye contact. I'm pretty sure he knows he's fibbing.

An Australian relationship akin to Afghanistan 🇦🇫 deal. We believe there will be change of leadership either way.
