Samsung Galaxy A53 - Tutorial walkthrough of how to force restart (soft reset) if your screen freezes or is not responsive. The process shown in the video will restart your phone and should fix the phone if it was just glitching. However, if the screen is damaged then the force restart won't fix the problem in which case you will need to bring your phone to cellular phone repair shop to have it diagnosed. You may need to replace the screen.

Thanks for this! - I was using an app when I received a phone call and when that call was done, the app appeared to still be running but it was not. I think the calibration controls for the app took over and so I was not able to enter my unlock code. I could activate the camera and that is when I noticed that if I touch the far left side of my screen, functions where the control are on the right would activate... I could not even hold the lock button and restart it as it was not possible to touch the restart button due to the calibration drift.

That's not a fix, that's a workaround. What causes the issue?
