Wyndham Clark has been playing phenomenal golf lately, with back-to-back second place finishes on the PGA Tour. He generates an insane amount of ball speed with one of the smoothest swings you'll ever see. And so in today's lesson we're going to take a closer look at what we can learn from his swing.

One thing Wyndham does a great job of is keeping his chin down until it is pulled up into his finish by the movement of his trail shoulder. By keeping his chin down, he is able to achieve tremendous extension through the golf ball. It also helps him maintain his spine angle and posture through the shot, which contributes to his impressive consistency.

Did this at the range today and took a lot of tension away from the body, better release, and gained about 20 yards effortlessly. You da man Zach!!👍🏻

Zach's ball strike blueprint gave me the foundation of golf swing, allowed me to fix number of issues. Looking forward to this one as well.

Another excellent tip Zach:) I just tried it and I got through the ball a lot better, just thinking of looking at the ball through impact. It also helped me complete a fuller backswing

Yes sir. Beautiful concept. That's why its very good to practice against a stiff breeze. Ok.windy. 20 mph against should suffice. If you want to get any distance again st this wind you heater make this move and or report the club through impact. Both ideal.

It definitely helps to be tall. Or, at least have legs longer than your spine. Most of us short guys don't have that advantage. However, I was at the range yesterday working on my take away, and I realized I wasn't turning through impact enough. What I noticed was how much better club head speed and solid contact I got by just getting my lead hip out of the way! When I got my lead hip to move back away from the ball, I could really turn the rest of my body through. If you can do that, your shoulders will follow beautifully.

Interesting, I tried the opposite head release today, eyes up through the shot and this helped me.massively, releasing my turn, and hitting the ball very straight ..so not sure which is right now ..aka Dustin Johnson V Scottie Sheffler ?

Tip is very convincing, for me the challenge is, to move the head in the backswing to the right and keeping the ball in the eyes. If I only pin my eyes on the ball my ballstriking is negatively affected. Thanks for the tip.👌

Any thoughts about Wyndham vs early head release of Annika Sorenstam or David Duval? Interesting discussion, thanks

Hi Zach, perfect point that could be a game changer, but do you think it will be harder to do if we are not a person with good flexibility?

I used to work on this type of movement but what seems to happen is I lose my balance to where my weight is going out on my lead toe

What you are saying may be correct in terms of swing theory, but it makes no sense to show a 65-70 years old guy and compare him with a tour pro. I am in that category (i.e. senior golfer) and I am just happy to be able to play golf. If I tried to swing like the tour pro I would end up in a hospital.
