I saw one of your tutorials last year and used SCHD, VOO, and VUG to start my portfolio. VOO's share price is up 22.25%, and VUG's share price is up 39.62%. I appreciate the education you provided.

I recently sold some of my Nvidia stocks to secure profits, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term, its growth potential is robust. I'm also considering diversifying my $400K stock portfolio, but I'm uncertain about managing risks in my next move.

It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I think the stock market will do well in 2024, so I'm thinking of putting $220, 000 into stocks for my retirement. Any advice on doing this safely? Also, any important tips for the current financial situation?

I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation.

My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17, 000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

You did a phenomenal job of explaining this with great graphics to understand the situation! I hope maybe someone in the comments who has this bet could say how much coverage on the short side they have and how much it's costing them? With SIRI at a greater than 20% short interest (reached the 30% range for a short period), does this increase the interest rate your paying on your short position? Or how much your short position is costing you?

Ted is said to have a good relationship with the CEO of Liberty Media Greg Maffei, and the Berkshire portfolio now contains lots of small positions in companies under the Liberty 'family'. I would say with a high degree of certainty, that this is a Ted investment.

Another day, another banger by Brandon. Always good to see Hamish in his videos as well.

The biggest risk for rerail investors with this arbitrage is Berkshire itself. If the marger happens and the price rises as they hope, by selling shares after the merger Berkshire could benefit whilst retail investors lose out. 😅

How does the news that "Liberty Media drops bid to buy rest of Sirius" (yahoo finance) from 14-MAR-2024 impact the conclusions from your video? Thanks for your hard work!

What's the valuation of the company compared to the market cap? Does it have a margin of safety in the case the merge doesn't go in the positive price direction that Berkshire may expect?

Thank you for sharing and for all your fantastic videos!
This kind of arbitrage deal was also championed by Joel Greenblatt, and it is nicely described in his book titled "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius"

Holding company discounts are normal and they don’t always close the gap 😊
