Hey, great vid. Though to avoid Discord sounds during these kinds of presentations, you can enable "Streamer Mode" in the Discord settings, especially if your voice chat tends to be more active like this. It disables sound notifications so it doesn't interrupt streams or recordings.

OSINT stands for Open Source Intelligence, but otherwise great video. I love how open the hacking community is to sharing knowledge and welcoming beginners.

His anti-piracy statement is kind of BS...most folks I know who upload (text)books, scientific articles, games, movies, tv shows, etc. are actually pretty decent folks and do it because they support the freedom of information. There are so many great points about the logistics of why loss of projected sales are not actively "stealing from" big companies (god I hope y'all aren't pirating indie games? If you do that u might suck). Half the time that things like articles are paywalled, the author/researcher isn't even getting any of that payment, though LIKE WITH ANYTHING there are exceptions. Pirating isn't inherently immoral. Also, I'm not gonna check comments on this, I couldn't really give a shit lol, I'm just saying my piece. Look into it yourself and form your own opinions, idc.

Very cool video, but I take issue with the way you labeled /all/ piracy as having strings attached. Certainly they are often hosted on websites laden with trojans, however often the groups themselves just do it for sport (warez scene) or to spread access to knowledge. Again great video 👍

Didn't imagine that the best introduction for hacking was, in a sense, a discord lecture

Imo I think the best way to explain hacking is that it's like the tech equivalent of figuring out how to dupe items, clipping out of bounds and such in a video game
