Get Sheet Names in Google Sheets (Current Sheet and ALL Sheets)

In this video, I will show you how to quickly get the sheet name in a cell in Google Sheets.

I'll also show you how you can get the names of all the worksheets within the Google sheet document as a list.

While this is not possible using any inbuilt Google Sheets function, you can easily create a custom function using Google app script.

Is it possible to do this the other way around? Name the worksheet like the content of one cell?

If you edit the sheet name the script does not update the returned values where this function is used, so it only runs one single time, which isn't that useful :(. It only runs the first time you enter it or at the moment you duplicate a sheet, but when duplicating a sheet you don't get a chance to name it until it is already created so when you change the sheet name, it does not update the current formulas where this function is called.

How can I populate this function to include any new sheet?
I tried to add a cell reference to the sheet name to deduce some results but it didn't work, such that: B1=Sales!A1+5.
Is there's a way to resolve this? Thanks.

IT'S A how would you (if possible) use this formula and take it one step further by referencing information from certain cells on these individual tabs? Basically looking to to some type of vlookup based on the tab name to grab certain field information from a few cells?
