We are using The Art of Problem Solving, Prealgebra for our 7th grade math curriculum. It is a very different curriculum than what I’ve seen before and I am excited to share this preview with you so you can take a look inside it.

As someone who did all of AOPS’s Prealgebra and introduction to Algebra, and is currently doing intro to geometry and number theory, I can say the books are amazing, it made me fall in love with math, i find myself often being way ahead of people way older than me. These books are challenging, but thats part of the fun!

My brother did AoPS (not after I watched this video), and it was so good, my mom made me do it to, and now I am top of the class, and I learned so much more! Thank you AoPS!

This is very helpful! Thank you for showing the inside of the book. I didn't see a review on your channel. Have you released a review?

I am researching the AoPS curriculum and this is so helpful!! So please make a follow up video and let us know what the Book Worm thinks about the book. There aren’t many videos about this series, so please post a full review when you can, I love your videos and appreciate the effort you put into them. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing, this was very informative. I like how the book provides examples next to related problems.

Thank you for the review! The video summary ends with "Secular Math Preview", but I don't think the video says anything about this. What does it mean? What is secular about this math preview? Or maybe it's part of a larger series...if so, what is the theme?

OMGGG!!!!, These books are literally all I did for math starting from the 5th grade, and I literally didn't need to do anything else for math all the way until college, and they kept me at the top of my class and helped me do really well in Olympiads and also college entrance exams.
These books are literal gems for math, and although they might seem really expensive if you're not from the us, but I guarantee they are worth every penny and more. It is quite ironic that many parents (atleast from India) are willing to spend more than the cost of all the books, for extra tuition in single year, but are not ready spend even a tenth of that amount on books,

AoPS also has a vibrant online community, and they also offer online courses where they teach a group of students in a class,
and the highschool courses they offer are recognised as the best in the country. Apparently one year, the 12 students who got selected for the USAMO team took a combined *108* of these online courses, and these are supposed be the 12 brightest highschool students in math, so yeah, they are the real deal.
I don't think its inaccurate to say that these books changed my life. (Ofcourse there would've been other books, but the style of teaching in these books is so unique that I don't think other books would've been able to match, and the focus on problem solving which they instill in you will change the way you look at world).
I should probably stop ranting..., anyways, best of luck with the books, hope these books make as big of an impact in your life as they did in mine!

Hey, so I'm currently attending my community college and I'm planning to go to the CS route. However, as a kid, I used to suck at math but know Im interested in learning it. Do you know if this books is great for a beginner/bad at math type student like me? Or should I consider other textbooks?

i was trying to find the official videos related to that book and i ended up on this video lol

I'm 21, I was never really good at math and none of my teachers really made it fun so once I was done with math at 16, I forgot like everything

Now I'm doing a lot of 3D art and I want to make music in the future and I realized I need math
I'm starting to play with numbers but I don't understand them on a deep level so I can't make anything complex

Making 3D art for me is just solving a lot of puzzles and I see now that math is the same way
Now I'm interested in math, now I see why it's useful

Congrats! I think you're selling yourself short. I find your videos informative and I love having more secular homeschooling families on YouTube. You're very down to Earth and I know you'll hit 500 subs in no time.
