Got myself recently a M1 Pro for €630, refurbished, perfect condition. Used to 120hz with my iPhone, and when you downgrade on refresh rate even on a tablet it is really noticeable. M1 is powerful enough and the hover function… not worth the extra money.

In Europe the price difference is way more than 50$ 🤣

I found the air 5 256gb for the price of the 128gb few month ago in purple. And this is enough for my usage. I take notes on the ipad with the pencil on notability during my various personnal trainings. And I wished I had something like this during my studies to have everything stored in the same place rather than thousands sheets of paper, notebooks or other things.

Got the 5th Gen Air for school and don’t have any regrets.

Even though I'm not in the market for either of these tablets I enjoyed your comparisons, always do. Right now I'm content with my Mini 6.

Nice review! I did end up buying the 11 inch iPad Pro, mostly because I wanted the promotion display. I bumped up the storage to 256, and am glad I did.

Just gave my daughter my iPad Pro 11 inch from two years ago as I really don’t use it but for videos and reading. Now to replace mine I think I’m doing the air as I don’t need much. Thanks for the video

The 120hz screen was the deal breaker for me. I would pay more every time to get 120hz screen. It is a very obvious difference that once you get used to it is hard to go back to 60hz.

I currently have a 1st gen iPad pro 9.7", stuck between upgrading to a newer Pro or Air, doesn't have to be the newest gen. Problems with current Pro is slow wifi, need more storage for apps, speakers going out. I love my apple pencil (I draw casually) so definitely want the new one. I would rather fingerprint than face recognition tho.

Thank you! Great comparison, and very thorough. I currently have the iPad Air 4, it's been great. Before I purchased it, I did compare the Air to the Pro, and I thought the Pro was overkill for me. I might upgrade in the next year or 2 and I will look at the Pro again.

I previously owned an iPad Mini, I miss the portability and smaller size of the mini sometimes, but having a larger screen is a better option for my older eyes.

Side note: I had been considering going back to Android in 2023 and getting a Pixel phone and tablet, but after seeing a few friends experiencing so many problems with Pixel phones, I am staying with iPhone. I might as well have a better iPad to go with it. And by process of elimination, I won't ever consider owning another Scamsuck phone or tablet again after dealing with Samsung's incompetent and worthless customer support. So it's IOS all the way now.

I have the Air 5. It’s a great tool and my wife has the Pro. I tested both out and unless you have a preference which was her there is no difference in basic needs

Awesome vido. Thanks to you I decided to get the iPad Air. I have been struggling which one to use to my school work. Thank you for the advice.

I'm going to upgrade to a current iPad, as my original 1st gen iPad Pro battery is finally failing; it's testament to it's longevity that it is still keeping up and still supports the current operating system, though I think it is the last OS supported. I'm having a hard time deciding if I need a Pro given how good the Air is; it's extraordinary the iPad Air has the same CPU my Mini does, and the Pro has an even more powerful CPU. I don't play games, nor edit videos currently, but do use graphics apps like Affinity Photo or Procreate, and AstroPad for working with Capture One on my Mac. I'm excited by the USB-C, which is fast enough for my needs.

I made the switch in Aug2023 from the Air gen 5 I bought early in 2022 to the Pro11 gen 4 for 4 reasons that Kyle goes over (1) primarily for getting Face ID, as always needing to reach over to unlock was cumbersome. (2) the 2 extra speakers, (3) the 500 to 600 nits, and (4) the 801.11ax wifi6 to 802.11ax wifi6E since my Eero supports the later. And it’s great that my Apple Magic Keyboard and Pencil 2 works on the Pro11 as well.

I brought a 64 go iPad Air and found myself with a system data file size of 23gb+10gb for the os. I figured that I would not have enough storage and needed 128 which the pro had. I also plan to use my iPad as a desktop and the bandwidth of the usb port was bugging me. It was an expensive upgrade (400 $ cdn) but well worth it. Great content !
