There should be more tax brackets! Also, I would go further and say that 70% is not high enough because of deductions and loopholes. Likewise, the wealthy few hide their money in safe havens like the Cayman Islands at the detriment of society they made their money off of. That money must be taxed and returned into the system that made them wealthy. The fact real economy is the middle class, not those who inherit wealth or only buy yachts and mansions. Likewise, they buy politicians to make policies that hurt average Americans to further their own wealth and greed. That has to stop!

i don't really think the tax rate should cap at 70%, ever:
a top marginal tax rate of 100%, tied to the average income in your company (including all sub-contractors, to close the most obvious loophole), would make more sense to me.
want to make more money for yourself? ok then, just pay your subordinates more, and your tax rate drops.

I think we should have something where the brackets are closer together towards the low end and have smaller increases in taxes while the top end has wider brackets with a steeper climb in the marginal tax rate.
