How to Add Words to iPhone Predictive Text (Tutorial)

Adding new words to iPhone vocabulary is pretty easy and after you're done, every time you reference the word or when the iPhone thinks you may want to use it, it'll give you the option to do so in the predictive text bar.

On android, you don’t have to manually make text replacements for the keyboard to give you personalized predictions. It will just self learn your frequently used words and they will appear as suggestions the moment you try to type them. Hope Apple implement predictions better.

my issue = drawing / tracing letters on the keyboard for my friend "Gabe" ...even if I do it extremely slowly and precisely...it always autocorrects to "have" or "gave" EVEN AFTER I added "Gabe" and "gabe" to the Text Replacement dictionary. Frustrating to say the least.

This doesn’t do what we’re looking for that is how to add shortcut keywords or phrases. We are looking for instructions on how to add a word not a sentence or shortcut an actual real word that the voice to text will not detect and type for me or using the keyboard manually typing it in pressing the space bar then seeing the word underlined in red, I tried highlighting it looked for a button to say add word or acknowledge word is correct on android that’s all you have to do. It is super simple, I’m trying to type the name of a nearby town here in Massachusetts or city named ascent ascent and it’s underlined in red when I select it, it gives me a word it figures I was trying to type instead, one word pops up above it, and that is the word is ASSENT. Jesus, now words I’m typing are underlined in blue too for example, the word select the word word and the word it all three are underlined and blue. Are you kidding me never mind the fact that during this message I have already had to stop the voice to text 7 times in order to correct, and edit the mistakes it is making. Every time I say a number it writes out the number instead of just typing the actual number making the message so so much longer as if my messages are not already long enough and I can’t go into the area you went into because I don’t need a shortcut because then when I want it to spell the # it won’t.
Why is Apple so difficult? I’ve had android for my whole life and I’m really trying to stick with Apple and it’s so irritating how much it messes up and how much more time and holes you have to jump through to literally do the simplest thing that android does.
What year is it and we still do not have a clipboard how do you guys work on your phone with no clipboard I guess the little smiley face in the bottom left corner is more important than a clipboard symbol lol yes I would much rather put smiley faces then copy something important that I can never remember, and then get distracted for some reason before pasting it somewhere then realize at some point I just copied something else and now I lost the one before that this iPhone is killing people and putting them in the grave sooner than they normally would with stress like this how can there be no clipboard ever since smartphones were created I have been able to copy or cut multiple things. It could be 600 characters long or two characters long all I have to do is copy it and that’s it then I go to my clipboard whenever I want to and each one of those things I’ve copied or cut, all there I then select certain ones that I don’t want to erase automatically once it needs more room
