Doodle Your Way to Digital Transformation

Doodling is one of the most powerful ways to understand concepts in a simple fashion. It is the foundation of understanding and could be used in place of architecture and strategy.

Doodling helps to visually understand complex concepts and take action. More than 60% of us are visual learners, and yet we do not use visual understanding enough.

In this video, I show one example of how doodling helps to think about the organization to transform it.

In my practice, I often invite business leaders to start describing their challenges and what they think can be done about them. Once they start talking, I hardly look at them. I face the whiteboard and draw. The only time I talk is to ask clarifying questions. I change whatever they object to and review it at the end. I try not to think too much along the way, just imagine a picture of what they're saying and draw it out. The most common feedback I get is one of relief. They are so glad someone finally "wrote down" what they've been saying all along. The feel understood.
