Don't forget that psychiatrists also have extensive training in many modalities of psychotherapy including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, and any other type there is, so they do much more than just medication. Great video!

Hi! For those pursuing masters first, does the masters program have to be in neuropsychology before doing the PhD or PsyD in neuropsychology? Is there a restriction on the types of masters programs one can do or it is okay as long as it is in a psychology related field? Thank you🙏

Hello. Can you suggest schools for PsyD in Clinical Neuropsychology. It's really difficult to find schools that offer PsyD programs.
Also what is it you are doing ?

What should i look into if i want to find a job the includes cognition and mental illness? Like how your brain reacts when you have a mental illness. Would that be neuropsychology or something else?

I've learned that the main role of a neuropsychologist is to investigate neurological disorders and give a diagnosis. However, I never read about how a neuropsychologist actually treats. Do they provide any therapy or do they just do the diagnosis and then refer them off to another professional for therapy?
