Hey, I'm in class 12th arts. I originally did 11th science but couldn't handle the stress and personal issues, so I repeated 11th with arts. That's when I got interested in psychology. I wanted to be a psychiatrist but found out it requires an MBBS degree, so I decided to aim for clinical psychology instead. Now, I'm torn between psychology and hotel management. I love cooking and have skills in it, but I also enjoy giving advice and listening to people, which makes me think I'd be good at psychology. However, I'm worried about committing to a PhD in psychology because I'm an average student who can only study for about one to two hours a day. My grades are okay (76% in 10th, 87% initially in 11th, then 66% in final 11th exams). I understand some psychology theory but lack practical skills, while my cooking interest is strong but not deeply knowledgeable.I'm also concerned about the long time commitment for a PhD in psychology and the impact of AI on jobs. Hotel management is a shorter course (5-6 years), but I'm unsure about both paths. Can someone help me decide?

I think you mixed psychologist and psychiatrist. In France ( where I live) psychologists barely touch 24 000 € per year and the the salary you put seems like the one for psychiatrists. Anyway don't come to France as a psychologist they are really not well paid for all their work.

guess what this person meant was - psychology have less scope in India because y'know they don't care about mental health, obviously and there are a lottt of stereotypical beliefs about psychology and stuff. And yeah salary is less but i guess it's same case in every country. So yeah NO SCOPE for psychology.

My friend wants to come to Canada. He is a registered psychologist who works in India now due to health issues but used to work as a psychologist in England. Can you help him out by providing me with the information on how to come to Canada with his skillset?

Well mr stranger my story is almost same like you that I opted arts in 11th because I'm a average student (60%) i scored 60% in 10th boards and 64 percent in 11th ... When I studied psychology for the first time I liked it likee it was so interesting in listening psychology lectures but whenever it comes to exam I use to score almost passing marks like 40/70 .... Now I'm in 12th i have made a plan to do psychology honours in college then I'll do my masters and PhD in USA abroad soo can anyone guide me whether I should go with psychology in future or not because I'm just choosing psychology to help people and earn better... Idk whether psychology is difficult or not because whole year of my 11th i have always think psychology as difficult subject
