Sheikh Hasina Out, Muhammad Yunus In: Can He Put Bangladesh on Track? | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Muhammad Yunus today took oath as the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh. This was after Sheikh Hasina's dramatic exit earlier this week. Reports say, Yunus and 16 other advisors will now serve in the caretaker government. Among them are two prominent student protesters. Restoring law and order will be the top priority of the government. In addition to that, Dr Yunus would need to keep an eye on the economy of Bangladesh as well. Palki Sharma tells you more.

When mentioning the economic crisis, please include that during the Hasina regime nearly 93 billion dollars was laundered and a 100 billion dollars debt was set. Additionally, political party members took all the money from banks and fled to other states. This entire economic crisis happened due to the actions of the Hasina dictatorship. Don't meke her look inoccent to Indian people.

It’s really concerning Awami League culprits are making comments on Democracy and Mrs Palak is reporting. Bangladeshis is not letting these media play its game anymore. So rest your case.

No dozens they killed hundreds. Unofficially it is over 1000. Choose your phrase correctly and do not try to make Hasina a innocent person.

I believe Bangladeshi people is capable of solving their own issues rather than thinking or listening to others who ran away from country while putting their people in great danger.
Sheikh hasina is considered a criminal in Bangladesh for destroying basic democracy of Bangladeshi people.
India should return her for justice .

Sorry to say, but you are not free in your country. Even the media is manipulative.
We are finally free from the corrupt awami league govt officials, ministers and politicians and in our country. Our country is not Pakistan, nor India, it’s is Bangladesh, and it has finally restored Democracy in our country. For the First time we can breathe freedom. We will support Noble Laureate Dr Yunus in every way possible.

I’m glad that our dear neighbouring country of Bangladesh didn’t fell into the hands of Islamist theocrats, and has chosen a progressive mind to lead the country forward.

It is not going to be easy for Mr. Yunus. I hope they do the best for their country. India should not support ex PM Hasina or her family.

Government of Bangladesh now needs to intervene and show a proper show of force against violence happening against Hindu minorties in the country. Of course Haseena should also face justice.

I read a comment that 93 billion dollars was laundered. Some reports are confirming about 149 billion dollars were laundered. I do have to give credit to CAS Wakar tho. He maintained the constitution fully and managed to form an Interim Govt. Withing 4 days... Now Wakar has to find the perpetrators and detain them and bring them to the court.
