The 2017 Taylormade M1 is such a great combination of looks, feel, distance, forgiveness and ability to adjust. It's in my bag (and I think it is still one of the best drivers available for a large segment of golfers).

I use a Ping G30 which I bought from eBay for £70. It’s very forgiving but now aged 67 I think it was the fact it had a senior flex shaft attached that made the biggest difference and allows me as a 20 handicapper just getting back into golf (stop playing through injury for 15 years) to hit some drives over 200 yards.

I bought the Mizuno Stz about 3 months ago and it has changed my game. I can definitely attest that it is very forgiving and I’m definitely keeping more golf balls than before!

The guys laughed at me today as I carried 7 drivers to the golf course. None of which were over 3 years old except for the driver that I currently use which is the Callaway XR 9.5 ... None of the newer drivers go any further than the XR and the XR is a fairway finder for me. The latest new driver I have is the Callaway Rouge max, 9 degree, stiff shaft, (all the drivers have the stiff shaft). I hate the sound of a carbon infused driver but could get used to it if I saw an advantage but like the Cobra, or Sim2 nothing beats the XR for me. I sold one of the Callaway Epic speed drivers today. Ping is to loud and sounds like I crack the face every time I hit it with a center strike ! So with the rules being the way they are for drivers I doubt we will see much improvement other than sounds and looks anytime soon.

I use a Ping G425 (which I actually picked up from golfbidder) as I’d watched loads of reviews. I’ve been happy with it but am not the most consistent off the tee. Last week I played golf abroad and used a hire set, which had a Callaway Epic Driver, and I hit it long and straight again and again. Shows the benefit of really testing before buying and not always needing the newest to improve your game.

I bought a Cobra King Speedzone driver this year with a regular shaft since stiff doesn't fit me. It was a cheap driver since it's a several years old model at this stage, but I couldn't be happier with the results! The driver increased my distance in a ridiculous fashion and it's by far the best driver I've spent money on.
It feels good to use, the sound it makes on a clean hit is incredibly satisfying and it even looks good! Plus, it's pretty forgiving.
I'd say this driver alone is what made me lower my handicap with several notches this year thanks to the extra distance I got which made approach shots a lot more manageable.
👍

I had a M2 in the bag for a few years but switched to a Cobra F8 about 3 years ago. The M2 definitely sounded better, but the F8 has definitely helped with the off center strikes... As a born and bred Wisconsin boy, I sure hope that cow is ok!

Just started this summer, I've got a slazenger v300. Thanks for the insite on driver's, still not sure which to get. Keep them videos coming.

I picked up a fusion early Summer 2022 for £30! Spotless condition too, i love it draw setting 9.5deg it passed my PB with my SIM2 285 yards. Straighter too. It makes you think what marketing has turned us into.

Very helpful for those with lower budgets. I have a Big Bertha 816 Alpha DBD driver and matching 3 and 5 wood. I bought them used. They are very adjustable. The driver is one of the longest of its day (2016). It seems to hold up well against the new drivers. Because my driver club length is significantly longer than standard I removed the weight altogether and replaced the cap. I also bought lighter sole weights for the fairways. With the two (front and back) sole weights in the fairways I can adjust draw-fade bias. They are still about D-5. They are all X-flex. Top of the line used clubs are way better than new cheaper quality new clubs.

My handicap is 18.2. Back in the summer I went to a golf shop with a net and a launch monitor here in the Netherlands with the intention of buying a driver, but the pro there told me I should fix a flaw in my swing before buying one. I was getting too much backspin. I guess I should be grateful to the guy, but I really liked the look of the Ping driver…

I'm rockin the Taylormade SIM driver, have had it for almost a year and a half, absolutely love it. Able to fairly consistently find the middle of the face now and the sound is just pure perfection when the middle is struck.

I have always purchased used drivers around 2 or 3 years old. The major issue is getting fitted as the club professionals will fit you for a new club but none have the selection of used clubs available to test and check the numbers for. The service for used clubs from Golf Bidder is just second to none .. Brilliant.

I'm playing the M6 right now that I got 2 years ago second hand for $150. Just went to a fitting experience with Titleist, and they said that even though the new driver was a little more consistent, it doesn't outperform my current driver enough to warrant making the switch.

Just bought Ping G410 Plus and hitting almost 300 yard drives first time on the course is great.

Currently using a Callaway Mavrik Max. Absolutely love it. Very forgiving and helping me find the fairway a lot more

Been golfing for about a year and a half, found a G20 with a stiff shaft in it for 100$ hitting around 250 with it, super forgiving, confidence boosting. My other driver was much newer, couldn't hit it more than 225. Huge difference when you find one that is works for you,

Still using a Callaway X2 Hot. About 18 months ago changed out of the stock shaft to an Aldila Synergy Blue. It is like a new club. Went to Callaway demo day at my club and tried ST Max with different shafts including my own, and different lofts, not nearly as long and almost no difference in accuracy. Feel, looks and sound very important in a driver imho.

I bought the Cobra King F9 at the end of 2019 and it is still in the bag. Turned down to 9° with the 14g weight forward. It is the best driver I've ever known. I have the arctic white with the matte finish and is is beautiful

Just recently switch from the 2019 TaylorMade M2 with an Aldila NVS green shaft to the Callaway Rogue ST Max LS with a slightly heavier Tensei white shaft (65g). Gained about 15-20 yards off the tee, but more importantly my shot dispersion is now much tighter. I’ve always been a more wristy player so having that extra help to lower spin has been refreshing to see. Highly recommend both clubs.
