The interior antenna is also supposed to be much farther away from the booster box itself.

So I’m seeing in your comments that it didn’t work very well. Have you figured out what the problem is? I was thinking about doing something along these lines for my daughter when we’re sitting around the campfire (away from vehicle) and I figure as long as the antenna is up high like say in a tree, and you’re as close as you’d be when it’s in a car, it should work as well as it would in a car.

Is that a package deal or you put that system together?

you are better off taking WeBoost Home Complete unit -- and doing that. It should work 100 % better. It's because the one you made if for a car and shoots out a weaker signal... keep trying. I'd like to know more..
