I did my own polygel overlay after watching you, the first time was a disaster, but I ground off the lifted parts and did it again 3 days later and havent had any lifts or issues at all, they still look great and just need a fill 2 weeks later, thanks for your channel so much!

I always have this issue doing My Own full cover Apres tips. I will get done with one hand then while I’m doing the other nails are popping off. Once I bought an acid based primer I haven’t had that issue. I also think my Nail Beds are oily so I double dehydrate with alcohol and that has also helped.

Thank you so much!!! I do my own hybrid gel nails and my right hand always has lifting. I have tried all of your other suggestions for lifting and continued to have the issue. Hopefully this is what I've been doing wrong!!

I do this when doing my own nails, I also do my thumb before I put any primer or base on any other fingers. That's important because I contort into crazy poses when trying to make sure everything is smooth and my apex is in the right place 😂😂

If you are extra oily you can clean the nails with a lint free wipe and some alcahol before primer and dehydrator. I have extremely oily nail beds which is good because ny nails grow fast but bad for getting products to stick. I found with my nails drying them out with alcohol or acetone after roughing up the surface but before applying dehydrator and primer is a game changer. I know im double dehydrating my nails and that would be too much for people who produce a normal amount of oil but o have hormonal issues due to pcos and endometriosis that make me extra oily and it doesn't bother me to use two kinds of dehydrator. I wouldn't suggest this for every person only the people like me who produce excess oil.
