Exploring the CREEPY VIEWING HAZARDS Iceberg - Part 1

Today we are taking a look at some entries in the Viewing Hazards Iceberg created by MetaRuner. Unfortunately, over 40 minutes of my audio got "lost." I originally intended this to be an hour long video, but instead will now be cut into parts.

I intended on having this video be a 1 hour long one. But when I tried copying the files onto another drive so I could export from my laptop 40 MINUTES of the audio got lost… and it’s been a week since my last upload and I didn’t wanna leave you guys without any content for any longer. So I will eventually re-record the audio and upload the rest in later segments. Sorry frens😭

“The game” is a game in which you see how long you can go about not thinking about the game. When you think about the game you say out loud, “I just lost the game.” This causes everyone around you to also lose the game. It’s not a don’t look at thing, but it’s a don’t mention thing. So, thanks for making me lose the game which I haven’t thought about in years.

Sorry if it has already been mentioned, but I like the theory that The Sun is the closest thing we have to an Eldritch being for various reasons, including being unable to look at it directly without eye damage, exposure causing cancer, it being older than our world and existence, etc

It makes me a bit sad that Yuko Tatsushima's painting "I Can't Be a Bride Anymore" is deemed as cursed when it's a vent painting about rape and sexual assault from her own experience, and how she would be deemed "unfit" to be a bride anymore from some awful act that was done to her. I believe she has BPD so many of her works concern mental health which I and I am sure many others can fully relate to. It seems upsetting though that a work of art that has so much emotion charged into it would be associated with something sinister or cursed, making people afraid of the painting or Miss Tatsushima. I highly recommend looking into more of her works and story.

I think Roko's Basilisk is hilarious personally. A robot from the future goes beep-boop so maliciously that it echoes into the past and gives someone night terrors because it's a spiteful jerk that wants to be built.

That "joke so funny a dude died, " skit reminds me of an incident I had a couple of days ago where, I was dreaming about something and during the dream something made me laugh so hard that it actually woke me up.

It makes me so sad Yuko Tatsushima’s work is viewed as cursed. Her artwork really is beautiful, a lot of hers is.

I just love those “creepy giant creatures in the fog” type videos when they are well done and actually look realistic. Some of the creatures people come up with are so fascinating to me.

Huge shot in the dark here: I think "The Game" one refers to an old ass meme/mind game thing where the entire point of it was making you fail it by reading or saying aloud any variation of "You just lost the game.", therefore since you're trying to avoid that at any costs it's sorta kinda an infohazard/visual hazard? I could be totally wrong though.

I think K. Yellow might be an abbreviation of a fictional play called The King in Yellow from the 1800s. H.P. Lovecraft was inspired by the play, and ended up making it a part of the library of occult literature that exists in his shared universe. The play itself is left obscure and unexplained, but it can be presumed that the performance of the play leads to either the summoning of some kind of eldritch being, mass death for the audience and/or players, or mass induction of madness in the area.

It's wild that I first saw the Smile Dog image damn near 15 years ago, and now I'm in my mid-20's, have seen pretty much ALL the fucked up things that the internet and real-life has to offer, yet it still gives me such a nauseating, gross feeling looking at the image. It's just so alien to me haha

Okay so I THINK I have the answer to the 'Bezerk' entry: It's misspelled. It's referring to the Berzerk arcade game. Two people died after playing the game and people have debated online on whether the game killed them.

The only source for the acronym BEZERK is from an urban dictionary entry and isn't in any sort of scientific literature. Plus it's way too obscure to be layer 2.

I've heard about Robo's basilisk several times and all I can think of it a robot just angrily yelling at people like "HEY YOU BUILD ME YOU LITTLE SHIT!"

I think “Berzerk” refers to the video game that apparently killed people. When people came face to face with the boss, “evil Otto” they would have a heart attack. Loved the video!!

Something I'm surprised wasn't on here is SCP- 012

SCP-012 is a sheet of music written in blood, it was discovered in some sort of tomb and when the researcher that found it looked at it, they had an intense urge to want to continue writing the music, so they pricked their finger and continued to write

In short; when SCP-012 is viewed, the victim will have an intense urge to continue writing the music with their own blood, though it usually varies how they would obtain their blood- Some have bitten skin off, others have gauged eyes out, some have cut entire limbs off

This will, of course, result in severe blood loss, injury, and death

They would always only be able to write about 2-4 lines of music before they gave up, though something that would always happen before the victims died is that they would claim that "It was impossible to finish"

When the sheet music was attempted to be played, the instruments sounded incredibly off-key and utterly chaotic, nothing harmonized and it is still unknown what its purpose is
