Lets not forget. Zaraki achieved something no one ever did. He killed a bunch a shinigami when he was a kid using a plane sword. He wounded unohana during their 1st battle. He became a Shinigami and a Capt of squad 11. All of this without knowing or using his shikai and bankai. Other shinigamis just assumed that his zanpakuto was always in shikai form.

my fave thing about Zaraki is how his bankai was his lieutenant in physical form and somehow NOBODY else was able to tell. WHich, he himself was also ignorant of.

People don't really understand the extent of Azashiro's powers. His constant state of released Bankai that spread across Seretei was just stupidly overpowering it could kill anyone even before they came into realisation. He was also completely immune to Aizen's KS.

Azashiro is a monster, but he admitted that duel would have ended differently had Kuru not been restricted from using his bankai in the society.

Unohana wasn’t the strongest in the OG Gotei 13, but she was at the same time. Yamamoto is a hammer, and she a spear. The fact that prime Zaraki beat Unohana 1, 000 yrs ago and she lost Kenpachi title and gave it to Zaraki without Zaraki knows, so in TYBW series she will be properly handed Kenpachi title to him with happily and honor.
