I had a cousin get sucked into this. Her whole life revolved around this scam. She would hate on all of us for "being an employee" while also occasionally trying to hawk some bs IUL to us and other relatives (mainly the older ones who were too kind to say no). She would also nonstop try to recruit EVERYONE she ran into into this trash.

Fast forward 15 years, and she's the only cousin without a house and is unmarried. She recently left WFG, but she burned so many bridges that a lot of people in the family actively avoid her. Lucky for her, her parents let her life with them, but still. I feel bad for her as she has no real job experience and can get no help from the family other than her parents. It can't be easy to start over in your mid-30s.

It's crazy to me that this business model is not illegal. It is a life destroying cult.

I’ve heard multiple WFG Agents/ friends give their presentations…each time they advertise the same thing….recruiting, and then asking you to recruit friends and family. He even said..I don’t have to do the presentations myself, that he would handle it for me. I was so confused by that. I signed up but quickly stopped responding because it just didn’t sit well with me that I went to a presentation for life insurance and left an employee…and not once was I sold a policy or even asked about it.

My sister has been recruited by these people and wants to do a presentation for me soon to finish her certification or whatever. According to her / the people who recruited her, I can put the entirety of my income into a life insurance plan and then take a loan out on the plan to pay for whatever expenses I have, supposedly as a way to continually increase the amount in the plan that I'm making interest off of exponentially over the years. We're talking $6000+ a month with an advertised 10% interest rate. The "company" that recruited her is a "WFG based company called Elevated Financial Group." I don't understand how I can "take a loan out" on an insurance plan when I'd have to pay it back the same month to avoid paying interest. Maybe I don't understand how life insurance works but this is being advertised to me as an investment. Something about this seems like the biggest red flag in existence lol

You said ‘Anyone at the bottom to succeed, MAYBE SAY people with a weak mind to succeed. They just want to work for a company and make it profitable working for them the whole life’. Those same people who are at top started from the bottom.’

Besides, it really matters what kind of commission structure it is. In a binary structure, you can never make money, but if you have 3 agents under you and they have agents under them, etc.... what's the problem!!!!

Excellent video, that's what I have always thought and after attending their multiple repetitive sessions, I have understood their business now. Thanks for the clarification

You present a very good description of what I am the process of going through. My daughter (44 yrs. old) got involved with and became an agent of WFG. She is being mentored by a representative that is located in Los Angeles California. My questioned to you is if you think their is a better product than "The Athene Ascent pro 10" for getting an income, when I turn 78 yrs. old in 3 years? The amount I am considering in buying the product is $350, 000. ?

I love having a team!!! Nothing wrong with that. We are helping others level up and changing their lives. Like I said, no different than bringing in agents under a broker.

Here's the thing, logically speaking every industry does recruiting, and I always hear people say in WFG only the ones at the top makes the most money, well in which company or industry does the people at the bottom makes the most money? At the end of the day its not a get rich quick scheme, it requires hard work just like any other business, sure WFG isn't perfect, but no other company are perfect either.

What do you that’s different? Why is yours so much better

It always comes down to the actual person writing it up if you suck it doesn’t matter where you go become a great agent and that’s it

People fail to see that the business partners brought on also become clients. They don’t charge their clients a dime. They make commissions from the providers but their strategies are free. At least where I’m at. As independent non-captive producers as well as different countries having different laws, I’m sure things can get wonky with information.

Working with WFG can feel like putting in a thousand hours of recruiting, only to realize your earnings per hour amount to zero—unless you can convince others to do the same grind.

Wfg has a business model that allows a person to have passive income in the future. Meaning, a single agent takes their time and trains 100 people for years, 90 of them quit. The other 10 show a bit of interest and actually become good advisors. Don't you think that the agent should be paid for all of the effort he put in for those people? I have been in there, it doesn't really matter if you recruit or not. However recruiting helps you build passive income which wfg is all about

the problem with WFG for someone who tried it and quit. is that they do NOT train u enough to do things on ur own. they’re so fixated on recruiting rather than selling the actual product. also I find it weird that they’re willing to recruit people who are uneducated or def def NOT QUALIFIED to do this type of work. they’ll take ANYONE! an uber driver, mcdonald’s worker, lawn mower people. they have NO standards. they just want their numbers up. it’s not a good business model by any means. no consistency, no one to really keep U accountable for doing the work, it’s run very poorly.

If I wanna get into insurance, and not so much of recruiting, should I just stick to the Statefarm, Farmers, Allstate? The more reputable companies?
