The defense continued its case today in the trial of Derek Chauvin. The former police officer is charged with the murder of George Floyd during his arrest.

During cross-examination of defense witness Dr. David Fowler, prosecutors asked Fowler about his conclusions and findings, including why he didn't add the weight of Chauvin's gear to his calculations about how much weight was on Floyd during the arrest.

Prosecutors also asked Dr. Fowler if he agreed that medical attention should've been given to Floyd when he became unresponsive while in police custody.

Fowler is named in a wrongful death lawsuit from the family of Anton Black, an African-American teen who died in police custody in 2018 after being held down by officers for six minutes in Greensboro, Maryland.

According to Reuters, the suit accuses Fowler of helping cover up Black's cause of death, which Fowler's office ruled was "natural causes" due to sudden cardiac arrest.

And this was the best "medical expert" Nelson came up with? Nelson had to know when he watched the videos that he had no chance unless one of the jurists was racist.
