Ive had sleep paralysis my entire life. and calling on the name of Jesus has also helped. Doesn't always work, but it has many times. The only thing that's managed to keep sleep paralysis away permanently, however, is consistently reading the word.

I had dabbled in the spirit realm. I started experiencing sleep paralysis almost every night for months. And in my terror, not knowing what else to do and having not heard these stories yet, i called out to jesus and it instantly stopped. After dabbling very briefly in occult as a teenager (didn't know this was the name for it then), I experienced sleep paralysis attack. I don't think my eyes were open, but could have been, however I saw a body shaped black mist or cloud settling over me and pressing me down. I couldn't move. In my head I heard "say the name. say the name". It was almost impossible, but I finally was able to say Jesus Christ. The black mist flew off of me so fast I could hear a rushing in my ears. That experience made me fully accept the reality of spiritual things and I don't ever want to be near or controlled by something so evil. Over time I have come to understand the demonic entities do not want anything to do with the Holy Spirit and there is power in the name of Christ.
