The Aveley Extraterrestrial Abduction | Documentary

In October 1974, an ordinary English family experienced the extraordinary - a strange UFO in the sky, mysterious green mist, and three hours of missing time. In the months and years that followed, the Avis family experienced all manner of paranormal activity, including horrific dreams of extraterrestrials and creepy encounters with the men in black. Eventually, they decided to speak out, with the father, John Avis, undergoing hypnotic regression. His hypnosis sessions were terrifying, and indicated the unthinkable: the Avis family had been abducted by aliens that night in 1974. They were real alien abductees. In the years since, the Aveley Abduction, as the case is now known, has come to be regarded as the "most important British case" of alien abduction and UFOs ever, posing important - and chilling - questions about humanity's fate and the nature of extraterrestrial activity on Earth.

I don't recall being abducted, but I clearly remember being fully awake and seeing a strange, elongated face with large slanted black eyes in my older sisters bedroom across the hallway. I was only 6 and it was 1963. I hid under my covers for 10 minutes shaking - then when I looked again it was gone. It was real because it was staring right back at me and I drew pictures of it, never showing anyone. I kept this secret for 60 years, only now coming out.

I don’t believe anyone in their right minds would have made up this type of story, especially involving their whole family, in 1973, 74, 75. No way. There would have been nothing in it for them except relentless ridicule when, if the word got out, especially if they were in a smaller town or village. No one wants to be made fun of... I’ve followed a lot of the literature in all things UFOs for 20+ years, I’ve never heard of this case before. Maybe because most info out there is US centric. Very calmly narrated and seems factual. Would be keen to hear a follow up with the family, and esp kids, nowadays.

This story is very eerie because in october of 2004, my dad and I were driving on a remote back road in southern oregon on a trip to see an event near Grants Pass. We were the only ones on the road, we passed a light that we thought was on top of a water tower or something at tree level. It followed us and caught up to us. It stayed above us for an hour. It lit up the road around us a bit, enough to make it a little more difficult for my dad to see the road well. We were in my sister's SUV, which had a sunroof. I was looking up through the sunroof at the object. No matter what my dad did, speed up, slow down, take a turn, it mirrored us exactly. At some point we ended up on the side of the road in different seats of the car with 3 hours of missing time. We did not make it to our motel that night, and had to go straight to the event and then catch up on sleep afterwards. My dad is a very calm guy. But I think he remembers more than I do. Bringing up that night is the only thing that upsets him so much that he will start cussing and hang up the phone.
