Dunkirk - Escaping the Mole (Film Version)

While I was a huge fan of Hans Zimmer's Dunkirk score, I was really disappointed to see the opening sequence marginalized into a simple suite (called "The Mole" on the soundtrack). You just can't beat the long, tense build up that the film version has.

With a bit of tweaking I was able to extract a somewhat adequate version of the actual film arrangement from the film's 5.1 soundtrack. Since it's a direct rip from the film's audio mix, you'll have to forgive some background noise. Personally, I feel it adds a certain ambiance to the track.

The first 20-25 minutes of the film was the best cinematic experience I've ever had. I can still remember the part 03:55, when the three planes flew over the boat.

Yep, thanks for uploading this. It's bizarre how Hans Zimmer routinely leave out the best fucking tracks in their movies. Going back to Inception and TDKR.

I heard the album version of The Mole before I watched the movie, and I fell in love with how stressful it sounded in a way, like the worst was on the horizon. I almost didn't recognize it at first when I watched the movie, but now I can't decide which one I like more
