SC was the dream I had when I was playing EVE, years ago. I always dreams of docking my ship into a living city, walking outside my ship, playing inside the cockpit, etc.. Now I have it. The funny thing is that like my dream, millions share the same. You guys are honestly making my dream come true. We are one 🌠🖖

What I really hate is people who only heard vague rumors and get on the "scam citizen" bandwagon. I hate hearing/reading things like "oh it's a scam", "it will never be ready", etc.

We live in an age where most games are produced to make profit. Corners are cut, budgets are spent on marketing, release dates are rushed and set in stone, developers are whipped to crunch out products which they know will be sub par and get them hate from their fans. The fans that their publishers treat only as consumers. Modern AAA standard games aren't art anymore, they are just like hollywood movies, mass produced trash and marketing to sell product and make profit.

And it's the same masses mocking star citizen and its' backers, who (rightly) whine about EA, Ubisoft and Activision among others, when they deliver sub par games to meet deadlines.

Star Citizen is a project that doesn't cut corners to meet marketing pre-order deadlines. It's not a project that is meant to deliver an "MVP" (minimum viable product). It's going to take some time, if you want to make entirely new features from the ground up, instead of using the exact same formula and tech from 10 years ago, like CoD does for example. And SC isn't just making one small new feature, it's not just improving something in an already existing idea. It's something that has been never done before. There is no real term or genre for it yet. It's a "life simulator-like" game that could be described as an FPS MMO.
It's a world where you can play space truck simulator, a FPS, dogfight, explore, grind, play the market, start a company, build bases, race space ships, race ground vehicles, PvP, roleplay, socialize, or anything that you can really imagine.

The old Blizzard we used to love once, had a saying: "it's ready when it's ready". Star Citizen is bringing that design philosophy back, and it saddens me to see a hostile reaction to it from fellow videogame enthusiasts.
Well, I probably shouldn't pay too much attention to it, as it is based on old miss-information from the period where the game's focus broadened from pure singleplayer space sim, to this massive project.
Once the game is ready to hit the mainstream audiences, no matter how long it takes... it's going to blow people's minds. Nobody will admit they rode with the "scam citizen" bandwagon.

Happy birthday Star Citizen. Star Citizen has been a part of my life... more than any other game to date... memories with friends... first step on a moon... first step on a planet... dogfighting, role-playing events, cargo runs. So much to think about. Thank you.

On Augest, Chinese player community finished localization, more than 4000 players participated in, working 7/24 hours, it took only 12 days. In China, There're tons of star citizen fans, we expect that there's one server could be deployed in Asia(Shanghai, Singapore or Hongkong) as soon as possible. Anyway I wish star citizen success, we wish star citizen success!

Without a doubt, the Star Citizen community has something very special, it reminds me a lot the World of Warcraft community in its beginnings.
