You can't beat a guy (or a girl) that just doesn't quit, has a positive attitude to taking on challenges and getting better. Spot.on. 💯

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my YouTube channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 1, 222 subs and > 1, 000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

This has got to be one of the most impactful videos I've ever watched, because it is speaking to me and my situation right now.

I've been trained as a salesperson, I understand marketing concepts at a very macro level, I love photography, and I want to learn video editing.
Now to combine all these skills into a coherent business that is something I enjoy doing, and can earn a living doing it.

Thank you for this video.

This is a very well made video I learned a lot and really appreciated your perspective. I also used to mountain bike so I thought that was cool that we had this in common. By the way, your eyebrows are definitely on the larger side

Great video! This makes me think about how slow I was (and still am) to learn stuff while editing lol. One tip for ANYONE on ANY SOFTWARE is to not use any of the crazy or flashy transitions too much unless the purpose of your video is to show off the editing. This is a huge mistake that I made when I started editing in 2020 and looking at my old videos, I wish I could fix that mistake now.

I was just looking over your editors academy and want to recommend you highlight it is currently a 1 time purchase for lifetime access. I know you put that in FAQ, however, that is a very important aspect of people like me to look at your stuff. I had to search for it, which can deter some people. As it is good for answering the FAQ quickly and great for marketing, I highly suggest you put that in your description early on. I will be back soon to sign up for the course =)

I'm 35 years old this year... And I really want to do something I enjoy as a job. Is it too late for me to go at video editing full time?

For me I’ve been using Final Cut Pro, and I wanted to see what you guys think of the strategy I’m using, It applies in both the way I film and edit but after completing a video I do a hard digest of what was done on it and see how it can be improved and changed for the next one, from lighting all the way to how the beginning of the video is edited to capture people into the content

Regarding each editors academy chapter, is there a typical range of how long each section is? Like the initial one for example?

Hey Sam, I've just gotten into video editing, i've bought a proper computer, but I am completely lost on where to get footage for practice. I've tried stock footage but every video is different and I can't seem to make it all connect properly. Do you have any recommendations on how to get raw footage files from a youtube video so that I can use it for practice and to just learn the creative side of video editing?
