Yeah this is a bit schizo. Poliwrath is literally 1 of 151 at that point. It's like 1/1000 now. It maybe takes the creativity of a child and funnels it away from their natural state. But as a kid you play as wolves and bears and stuff. Animals are cool. Pokemon piggyback of of that instinct.

If you want to stress the point that any sort of fantasy is indulgent and leads to issues, sure, I'm all ears. I've got no time for schizo ranting about one pokemon name in 150-1000. Moreover, the only violence problem we have with kids is a nonviolence one. All thos traits rattled of. Nobody wanted their kid to be assertive, confident, or a leader.
