People like Stewart just don't get it that their liberal woke elitist views of everything aren't shared by everyone. If you sneer, patronise and are condescending towards individuals with different view points, then you reap what you sow.

What a moron. "I would rather be wrong optimistically than right pessimistically". This is an Eton educated clueless "elite" everyone.

The only thing he was right about was that he was completely wrong

Why ask someone who was very wrong why he was wrong? His answers likely wrong.

Rory is insufferable.
He seems to think that lofty ideals are a substitute for genuine insight into how the world actually works.
He's constantly talking about how the world "Should" be. How politics "Should" be. What people "should" think. What people "Should" prioritise and is perpetually dumbfounded by the fact that reality isn't there to be lectured to, it's there to be studied and navigated.

People listen to him because he's a "Nice bloke" but there's an intellectual arrogance there, bordering on narcissism.
-He and Alistair spent months dismissing concerns about Biden's health as "Propaganda".
-They conveniently overlooked the fact that Kamala failed to even come THIRD among democratic voters when she she ran in the 2020 primaries.
-They overlooked the fact that she was one of the LEAST popular vice presidents in modern history.
-They overlooked just how much the average american was hurting and struggling to pay bills over the past 4 years (Dismissing it as dis/misinformation in the media about the economy)
-They dismissed just how important the issue of immigration is, not just to "Racist whites" but to ANYONE in a community that has its resources stretched by their arrival.

Rory is a textbook case of a "Know-nothing know-it-all". A sharp intellect, a wealth of experience and yet, somehow, no actual insight or Wisdom.
He and his co-host remind me of French Aristocrats, who complain about the "rise of populism" while ignoring the fact that it's THEIR INCOMPETENCE that has led to the anger that is being turned against them and their political peers.

I’m not surprised the conservative party lost when they have MPs like this saying that they are conservatives is clearly not a conservative he’s a liberal and needs to join the liberal party.💯

The problem is that people like Rory can never accept that they're *JUST WRONG* in general. He is unaligned with the majority of the people, yet lacks the self-awareness to acknowledge it. Kamala Harris was an awful candidate who ran an awful campaign. She stood for nothing. Her whole schtick was "orange man bad". That's no basis for a system of government. (Cue Monty Python quotes).

It was a legitimate win.The people of USA voted in the majority for what they wanted. He is insulting the tens of millions who voted for him.One of our closest allies.

Stewart skirts around the problem which is class-based and cultural. The working-class in the USA, here and in Europe are sick of bien-pensant middle-class types with their woke obsessions about transgender, immigration and "identity" issues and their pandering to the strident Islamic lobby. Anyone who dares to raise questions about those issues and which dares to question the middle-class BBC, Guardian New York Times view of the world is excoriated by these media outlets. The problem that these outlets have is that they live in a rapidly ever-decreasing bubble as less and less working-class people listen or take notice of them and in fact actively despise them and their views.

The problem with elitists like Rory is that they dont believe in the market place of ideas which is why he never reflects or changes his clearly misjudged view of the world. He just thinks the rest of us need to be re educated 😂
