How Tommy Ford's Death Will Affect 'Martin' Reboot

It’s officially safe to say that a Martin reboot is on it’s way folks, and two of the show’s biggest star’s are finally speaking out.

While on the red carpet for the African Black Film Festival Honors, Carl Payne and Tichina Arnold opened up about the project fans have been waiting for since the series finale in 1997.

They could start the reboot with getting news that Tommy died in an accident and start the series from a funeral reunion aspect. Technically Martin and Gina are supposed to be in LA, and the rest of the gang back home in Detroit.

IMO they shouldn't try 2 do the reboot. It'll never be the same without Tommy. Out of respect 2 him and his family, they should 4get it. Let the classic 90s "Martin" show live on in DVDs, YouTube clips and reruns. If they return, after a while fans will beef and moan bout "its not the same, they look old, its not funny like b4, the old show was better.."etc. They can't redo what they did. Those VERY funny, crazy, characters Martin Lawrence created can't be done again.

I vote that they add Terry Crews (who Tichina knows well from Everybody Hates Chris) to play the role of Tommy's cousin. This would at least keep Tommy relevant to the new show (through his on-screen family).
