I met survivors. One woman told me that people who were raised in luxury did not last too long.
I met survivors at a ceremony in NYC once. I'm guessing that they went through therapy but after a while you could see they were putting on a happy face.
I asked one if any of the guards had any kind of sympathy for the inmates and he said, "No, they were too much into the philosophy."
The historian, Paul Johnson said every time a society starts up a policy of anti Semitism, the society eventually falls apart.
The three most recent examples of that are Venezuela under Chavez, Belarus under Loschenco and Turkey under Erdogan.
After they the currencies of these countries have little next to no value.

The monument at the beginning is of the Polish revolt against the Germans. The revolt took place one year after the Jewish one.
