Hey, great explanation! Don't forget all the weird bokeh too. ;) Old push-pull zooms are great for film. They make it so easy to do focus pulling, especially if you get the type where you focus as you zoom with the same ring such as the Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm f/2.8 lens. That line of lenses is amazing anyway, with saturated color, fantastic detail, softness around the edges and the focus roll-off, beautiful transitions, and lots of blooming. You can get great soap bubble bokeh with some of them at the right apertures and distances, and nobody is seeking them out yet so they're still cheap! Vivitar Series 1 made ONE anamorphic zoom lens too, and it also has autofocus. It's the final release of their 70-210mm f/2.8-3.8 zoom lens, made for Cosina. I got mine out of a sea of other, previous releases, only to find out that the autofocus works great and the anamorphic glass is sooo cool.

This video is great. I'm about to buy this lens. Thank you for helping me decide on it. I think if you change the main image of this to a more colourful and dynamic pic like maybe from the shot of them walking into the store... that would drive the views through the roof.
