These are neat. I’ve been watching a lot of shot glass turning videos lately too. Coincidence?

These are very cute! This means I do have some thing that I can do with those little skinny branches I have. Thank you very much.

A note about oak species in North America - red oak will wick and leak liquids. Note that sometimes it's difficult to tell by appearance, so immerse the end grain in water and see if it wicks up.

Great timing for this video, though I know it's older. I'm disabled, so can't lathe like I'd like to 😶 but a friend asked me to make shot cups and I didn't want to make just anything, so thanks for the inspiration 👍👍

Nice shot glasses. Made me think of Kampai (or kanpei). Interesting design. Well done.
The food safe finish reminds me of a big difference between US and UK. In the US mineral oil is often used in wood working and included in some products to keep e.g., cutting boards oiled. Mineral oil is also readily available in pharmacies (chemist shops). Some scented mineral oil used to keep the skin on babies bottom from drying out. Some unscented mineral oil is used to treat constipation.
In the UK it seems mineral oil is not easily available. In my limited internet searches I have only seen this in e.g., cutting board conditioners. UK chemists apparently would never consider mineral oil as a treatment for constipation.
Dave.
