I hope you find this to be a neat example of different ways to solve the same problem.

''It has limitations, but basically, it can do anything''. Spoken like a true engineer

"I convinced myself that what I really needed was more complexity. It turns out, I did not." -engineers everywhere forever

He gets a huge and impressive waterjet, and the first video he uses it for, he uses it to sharpen a pencil. What a legend.

The concept of "it works, but it's not complicated enough" is what makes this channel great

I love how this show is almost framed like a reality TV show where there's 1 contestant and 1 judge.

Imagine if all the engineering YouTubers made a pencil sharpener that was focused around what they normally do.

I love how this entire episode was an excuse to play with/learn his new toy/tool. 10/10 very fun.

The spinny razor one not cutting the graphite is actually really cool because you'll waste less pencil for each pencil

“Sir do you mind explaining why you were doing 100 in a school zone?”
“I was sharpening my pencil, officer.”

This is hands down the best 30 minutes of pencil sharpening on all of YouTube

The Water Jet Pencil Sharpener is such an egregious over use of precision instruments to perform a mundane task you've got to love it!

"Just because it was really hard to do, doesn't mean it's good." Words to live by.

“Christmas in Australia” would go on to sell for $1.4 mil as Stuff Made Here’s historic entrance into the world of modern art, and is currently on display at the MoMA.

I love how your wife has such dry humor and gives you an idc face, yet we all know she truly does care. ❤

I don't even know this guy, but his wife seems like such a perfect match for him. She's so supportive of all of his crazy ideas. No matter what he comes up with, she's like "I love it" 😂

I like how the chainsaw sharpener was basically just a regular pencil sharpener but with a moving blade

I like how this is basically a 30 minute commercial for a product none of us could ever possibly own.

The pencil at the end, if submitted as a work of modern art, could be titled "Writer's Block"

That "sandpaper grit" is actually powdered synthetic ruby, and the waterjet I used to cut all the parts for my minitruck build blew the mixture at 40, 000psi. One of the machinists at the shop mentioned how he'd always imagined getting rid of a body with one, and that mental image and idea has never fully left my head.

I always thought that "I did a thing" was the stupid and irresponsible version of "Stuff Made Here". Seems we have finally come full circle again and I like it 😅
