its so fascinating to me how big the universe really is

I still remember when big bang happened. Good old days

The scary part is that it’s still growing. And because it’s nearly 10 billion light years away means we’re seeing it as it was 10 billion years ago so just think of how much larger it is now.

Im ready to see people argue with TON 618

(Phoenix A is the latest biggest black hole discovered)

When they somehow finally discover that all this darkness we see around us is the result of us being inside of a black hole obviously larger than the observable universe, that'll be the day.

It’s crazy cause we’ve only discovered like 5% or something like that, which means there’s a damn good chances that somewhere out there is a black hole that makes phoenix a* look like a ant by comparison

Just to think that our atoms in our body are as old as the universe 🤯

The sheer size of these objects is just mind boggling to be able to see it would be soo intense it would be unimaginable just awe striking its bigger then ton 618 and that was previously the largest black hole ever discovered now we have phoenix a o guarantee we will find an even bigger one like so huge that the sheer size of it will dwarf our entire galaxy a hundred times imagine that

A Black Hole is created when there is an implosion of a super massive star and the gravity is so large that it reduces to a point so powerful that even light cannot escape from it. Then how come the Phoenix A has a diameter of 590 billion kilometers?
Can some one throw some light on it, please.

Ton-618

Watching from behind the camera

but what if it was made from one star. possibility of dense cluster of energy stayed together after big bang and after becoming atom clustering together rapidly might be possible as 10% is possible to stay together.

Imagine if Phoenix A and TON 618 collided.

Whats lurking inside of it we wanna know

We look up at Phoenix A and wonder at how anything could be so big. Phoenix A looks down at planet earth and wonders how anything could be so small. it's all a matter of perspective

It’s crazy how it’s so old, yet so big (black holes get smaller with time, as they evaporate losing mass)

For those saying Phoenix a is the “biggest” black hole the mass of Phoenix A was calculated using a model which links the star density profile of the galaxy to the adiabatic (without the transfer of heat) growth of the supermassive black hole at the core. This model is very new and doesn’t have a lot of strong backing in the scientific community yet, and this application of adiabatic growth has a limit which Phoenix A may approach. The reason the mass can’t be conventionally measured is because it is to far away for us to have good measurements of the dynamics of nearby star’s (phoenix a is~8 gigalightyears away), and doesn’t appear the way other quasar’s do. Ton 618 has a characteristic brightness which we can use to approximately determine it’s mass, despite it being much further away. so it might not actually not be the biggest.

Are we inside some kind of event horizon?

We might be not correct we don't know how big is TON 618 and Phoenix A today

The fact the ton-618 appears in the vid a lot is crazy
