I choosed Singapore after working sometimes in Germany. I left Germany by Feb 2020. After 3 years of staying in Singapore, I am very happy about my decision. More Indian friendly, can visit India 3-4 times a year because of cheap air tickets, no racism. Germany you need to cook food, eating out is costly in Germany.

Well 25 lacks is a good number but not the dream one, many folks in india working startups and faang have salaries upto 1cr CTC, anyone who has 3-4 years of exp in software ( not IT) can reach this 25 lacks number! Now the point is What is the max level of income in germany for the same? How much does a CTO, tech lead or SDE3 earn there??

I hope you are clear that all the 80C, 80CCD and other tax declaration is your investment which you can use from 5 years onwards depending on the bucket you are investing. People living in Germany would also be saving some money for investment purpose right? nobody just blows 100% of their income on living expenses. Again term insurance, medical insurance, home loan, housing rent (even if you have home loan from the house in different state) are other segments which any person with "25lacks" package will have which is used for tax rebate (balanced against your tax). Also the gross salary depends a lot on how your company structures your salary, wherein either the company or you can utilize maximum of your salary. People are just focusing on traffic. If we are taking about quality of life, then having people who literally help in every damn domestic chore (maids, cooks, babysitters, househelp) throughout the day, 25 days a month is also blessed life. I know many people who go abroad for clean roads and greenery, get frustrated after year of doing every damn thing on their own (even assembly of furniture, fixing bathroom tap leackage) and miss their maids :D Not to forget people having kids value having accessibility to their parents more than any other thing.

When my CTC was 25LPA, I never paid 40% tax (and deductions) in India. I still don’t even with much higher CTC. You cannot equate bonus/variable pay/stocks etc. with tax. It’s just these are paid annually or quarterly. I often got bonuses higher than what was promised in CTC.

Bhai make video on purchasing power parity

when you say Gross Salary, do you mean Gross package offered to you, or s this inclusive of the additional contributions payable by the employer?

Next time you make any comparison please bring PPP ( purchase power parity ) into account rather than comparing numbers. Also use Income tax dept calculator for deriving inhand salary rather than some random excel

Common you want free top class education, free public transportations, insured health care facility without giving high taxes, how can even this possible, think about that 😊 as an indian i also like germany, Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam (all earth is my home)

Conversion from 25 lakh ctc to 15 lakhs in hand is not correct !! It depends on company to company and it should be 1.5 lakhs/ month . Could you please check on this and come up with a more pragmatic answer

120K Euros is highly highly bullish salary expectation. Getting a 100K salary is a dream in Germany. But on other hand in India with 8 years experience people reach 25 lacs and post 10 years many people making 30 lacs per annum!!
Anyone think otherwise please comment

Good package in germany is better, india high salary people also pay insane high taxes same like germany's 45% tax, but here u wont get same facilities for that tax money, quality of life, public services bla bla

25 lpa CTC is pretty normal in India these days with 5-6 years of experience in IT sector even in service based companies like TCS and Infosys. In Germany 120k is very rare in IT sector. Consider yourself lucky if you get 100k even after 15 years of experience.

Would have been better if you also explained purchasing power parity ! For eg. 60k euros package equals to 18 lakhs rupees.

Domestic help in India is something we Indians really underestimate because we haven't faced the scarcity of it.

Haha didn't he talk about doing research?? Most of what he said is wrong. He didn't talk about tax class. For 120k euros, net salary would be around 85k not 69... he missed out benefits like leaves, works council and how mgmt cannot cheat employees... etc. Nonsense. Video is rubbish
