Kenny passed away one week before my mother did. My mother was a Kenny fan. This song was playing on the radio shortly after he passed and it took my breath away. We did incorporate this song into my mother's funeral - very appropriate. I listen to this song only once a year... on the anniversary date when she passed - which is today. I miss her very much !!!

I saw someone else here said this song just popped up today, that’s just what happened today to me too!
I met my then wife to be at 16 yo, after almost 60 yrs together, 53 married, she went home to the Lord.
The day I left the hospital to get home to meet the home hospice team, Kenny’s “Buy Me a Rose@ came on the radio for the 1st time in longer than I recall, I love that song because it set me straight years ago. Diagnosed on 12/15/22, she passed on 1/10/23; She & her dad were born on Feb 8 & both passed on 1/10!
I went to visit her grave last week & “Through The Years” came on, again favorite of ours as was Kenny’s song “Lady” because it told her repeatedly my feelings for her.
As I’ve done since her passing, I cried my eyes out that day
but knowing how she lived our Catholic faith again assured me that she’s in Heaven.When I’m called, my hope beyond hope is that I’m in spiritual shape to be there with her for all eternity.
She’s the eternal love of my life, I’ll never want anyone but my beautiful Kathy.
God rest her soul

Its so hard to comment on this beautiful song. A friend of mine passed away not long ago and they played this at her funeral, there wasnt a dry eye in the house, RIP Kenny and thank you for this beautiful time piece.
