Contrasting, they are very different.

“And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.”

John chapter 2 verses 3 and 4

I may be reading this wrong and I don't know how things were in the 1st century
but doesn't calling your own mother "Woman" seem a tad bit rude? I mean even older people would still not
address their own mother even by their mother's first name much less call them "woman".

But then this isn't just anyone speaking. This is Jesus speaking and Jesus was without sin so it CAN'T be rudeness.
Jesus was able to call Mary, his own mother simply as "woman" because Jesus has the authority to do so.

"what have I to do with thee?" sounds like Jesus is expressing frustration with Mary's trivial concern over the lack
of wine. Of course Jesus loved his mother but it seems like Jesus was frustrated with her lack of faith.
Jesus was the Christ, the Savior of all mankind including Mary herself and yet she is worried about some wine.

It's actually a bit humorous.
