Great video, but I am wary of describing autoencoders as a commonplace compression technique. Autoencoders are a good technique for compressing data, however, it is not lossless. We learn to approximate the identity function, but we cannot say it is typically appropriate for compression because we are lossing data (in fact we count on this when de-noising image data).

Hey, has anybody tried your Deepfake tutorial ? Your video was amazing and very well explained but I tried to run your script and its not working. I imported every file correctly and have no spelling errors and everything seems to be working, but somehow I only get the original video and picture as output and not the Deepfake. Does anyone have any suggestions or has encountered a similar problem? thanks in advance :)
