Being a poor skater kid in the late 80s, all I wanted was a pair of Hi Top vans. My mom saved and got me a blue pair for my birthday. After just a few weeks, I wore the sole down from skating so much, I developed a hole under my big toe. I was so ashamed that I didn't tell my mom. Walking to school in the middle of winter

Even if you dont skate, the SKATE collection is definitely better made and more comfortable. Recommend over the normal line.

I'll always have a soft spot for Vans shoes. They were a big part of my teenage years, skating the neighborhood and getting into trouble...they always served me well and the price was always affordable.

I'm a professional drummer. Had never tried Vans until I was on tour last year, learning to skateboard at 39 years old. one of my friends on the tour bought me a pair and they're pretty much the only shoes I've had on my feet since. Absolutely awesome to drum in.

My entire casual sneaker line up consists of chucks and vans. They last a good amount of time and are practically timeless in their designs

I rarely skate nowadays, but I have been wearing vans forever. They fit me very well and now that I don’t tear them up nearly as much, they last quite a while and are much cheaper than other shoes with styles I like. Definitely an interesting story!

I’m a really fan of Vans Slip ons. As a flat footed person, I love how comfy Vans is. Also I lover their designs and collabs. Their shoes are so easy to match with.

Vans shoe traction is another level experience after only wearing dress, running or basketball shoes.

It may look simple but if you buy many vans shoes you will realize the details in traction design these guys perfected over the years

As someone who has suffered from severe plantar fascitis for more than a year and seriously thought his walking-without-pain days were over, I run from that kind of disposable shoes as if the devil where breathing on my neck.
With careful planning I was able to buy quality (and yes, expensive) shoes through the years and I now have a full set of very classic, very comfortable shoes that allows me to change them every day and let them dry thoroughly before wearing them again.

As a curiosity, ballerinas get through more ballet shoes than even a skateboarder does. And those are expensive, usually hand-made.

I used to have a pair of Vans MTE. I wore them for 4 years, through fall and winter. Never encountered any issues and kept my feet warm even in snow.

where I'm from ( Zimbabwe ) Vans are known as the Universal School Shoe for College Students😅 But the company did a really beautiful collection in South Africa. Those shoes have character. Thanks for the Video

I honestly buy vans because they're so good for my flat feet and I know they'll be comfy, and even if I wear them as my main shoe I still get more than a year.out of them

Shout out to Future Proof for always having a sustainability focus 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 YouTube has so many haul and review sites where quality may be discussed but never sustainability not least all those Shien and other hauls going straight to landfill. Kudos to these guys ✨

I've been wearing the same Vans shorts and sweater for 15 years and you couldn't tell it from the way they look. A good quality brand in my experience.

Never owned many pairs of vans growing up but I'm a fan of the Van style shoe design so i tend to just buy cheap no name brands of that slip on shoe style/boat show style (not the one with the shoelace or high tops) coz they comfy af.

Great watch as always. Good to learn more about them as a company.

I'm always going to have a soft spot for Converse. They fit my feet really well, and they also are ridiculously aesthetic and comfortable!

I am a proud member of the Tacoma gang. In Puerto Rico, Tacoma are extremely popular being the most sold truck in the island. I have a 2006 4x4 and it barely has devalued. Of course it is in great condition. The truck has never let me down.

Love your videos so much! One remark, would be nice if you would have told us which brands to look for, to have cool and repairable shoes. And no please don’t tell me Birkenstocks. 😉 Thanks to you guys I’m changing in the long run to Patagonia and Fjallraven instead of Arc‘Teryx - once it is beyond repair.
