Never used one of these. I need to pull up a deck around my house. Would this be good for skimming a little off each side of the boards, putting back down and painting? TIA

Not everything from HF is junk. They are putting out some good tools these day. I have the Dewalt planer and I cant figure out why my boards slide from side to side when its getting cut. I may junk it (its old) and get one of these.
