Songbird, The Music of EVA CASSIDY

Songbird is an exciting concert which tells the story of Eva Cassidy's life and, with a fantastic onstage live band,  takes us on a moving and powerful musical journey.
Terry Wogan brought Eva Cassidy's memorable music to millions four years after her untimely death.  This show brings that music to live audiences throughout the UK and stars Sarah Jane Buckley of whom critics said, "her exceptional voice is an exact copy of Eva's and sent shivers down the spine".

Sarah Jane does an amazingly good job of bringing the songs of such a GREAT artist as Eva Cassidy to a LIVE audience. Her task, I'm sure, wasn't a very easy one at all when she went about singing these wonderful songs in the same vocal arrangement, tone, and style in which Eva had been recorded singing them. Eva's versions were All SELF felt and delivered to the listener in a manner that has a timeless, soul moving, and raw acceptance as if it was simply MAGIC, and meant for us to hold it in our hearts forever. I would have loved to have seen Sarah Jane live doing this tribute and show. What a very LOVELY tribute to such an especially talented and moving artist. So happy to run across this video!!!

Eva Cassidy’s cover was wonderful but it was Christine McVie who wrote it for Fleetwood Mac so especially at this time I am thinking of both of them RIP Christine.😢
