One of the absolute best shuffles. Unmistakeable.

According to Jeff, he combined Bernard Purdie on Babylon Sisters and Bonham on Fool in the rain. THe result is pure Jeff Porcaro. Legend.

The old school bands were so much better than any of us knew

There you go brother. I love the ripping fast stuff, but for people to really see your star shine this is what we need more of. The touch, groove, feel, dynamics. And you do it in a way that is so unique and special brother. More variation, more feel, mix that into your blazing speed videos and you have all of the bases covered. But then again, I just wish I could be you haha.

Those ghost notes and the control and power behind the kick drum is incredible! You have helped reignite my passion for drumming! Thank you!

Many drummers, including myself, didn’t realize the difficulty of the Porcaro or Purdie shuffle until they tried to master it. Well done!

One thing about Porcaro that I really like is that I can tell which Toto song is on just from his drumming. That's what iconic music should be like.

Its crazy that Stepario didnt even need to overdrum this to make it sound like that. He just played it perfectly note for note. Truly an amazing shuffle and honestly a really underrated song. I wish a band would do a modern cover of this masterpiece.

The ghosted notes are more sparse in the beginning of the verse. They become more busy as the verse progresses. That is what makes this groove so special. The subtleties of Jeff porcaro.

It has been one of the great pleasures of my life to see how so many great drummers have consistently taken Bernie Purdie’s root groove and added so much to something that was already legendary.

Jeff Porcaro was a real legend. In this track it’s all about the groove and the ghost notes. Nice work!

I've been obsessed with this groove for the past couple of weeks. Also Night by Night by Steely Dan. Ten years or so earlier in his career but that snare is there.

Hard agree. My favorite groove of all time, followed by Jason McGerr's super tasty groove on Grapevine Fires, by Deathcab. I have a thing for halftime shuffles.

Perfect choice. I wasn't expecting
Toto !!!
I remember when this was an instant hit on the radio.
That bass line is still one of my favorites!

Keep bringing us this kind of joy!
Cheers

That is fantastic. That was one of my favorites 80's songs.

I’m so happy you did this. There is no better groove. It works every time, whatever your mood. You could be peckish for some Phil Collins, Police, Meshuggah or Mats och Morgan band, but Rosanna will always soothe.

I’m not a drummer and I was able to name that tune in 2-3 notes. It has a groove that is distinctive. Nice job.

STepario is a genius not only about experience, thecniques or theories about drums or on to be a drummer, but isso about teste feeling and apreciation for onde geniuses of Drummers as Jeff Porcaro, the misser Porcaro, rip friend. I Love the humbleness of Stepario and his behavior too.
